The participation of Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting in the 2024 Summer Olympics in the female boxing event caused controversy as they had been disqualified from the 2023 IBA Women's World Boxing Championships run by the International Boxing Association (IBA). The disqualifications came as consequence of the IBA stating that they failed to meet "eligibility rules".
