However, the mere fact that a company, organization, or product is a page's subject does not, on its own, qualify that page for deletion under this criterion. This criterion also does not apply where substantial encyclopedic content would remain after removing the promotional material as deletion is not cleanup; in this case please remove the promotional material yourself, or add the {{advert}} tag to alert others to do so. Raydium is a decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the Solana blockchain. It provides automated market making (AMM) and liquidity provision through its on-chain order book system. Unlike traditional DEXs, Raydium integrates directly with the Serum decentralized exchange, enabling shared liquidity and faster trade execution.
History
Raydium was launched in February 2021 by an anonymous team known collectively as "AlphaRay," "XRay," and other pseudonymous developers. Its creation aimed to address scalability and transaction speed issues common in Ethereum-based DEXs by leveraging Solana's high-performance blockchain.
Features
Automated market maker
Raydium uses an automated model where users can provide liquidity by depositing token pairs into liquidity pools. This allows for trustless trading and yield generation through fees earned from swaps.
Order book integration
Raydium connects with Serum's on-chain order book, enabling users to access broader liquidity. This integration differentiates Raydium from typical AMM-based DEXs.
Yield farming
Liquidity providers can stake their LP tokens to earn RAY, the platform's native token, through various farming programs.
Staking
RAY holders can stake tokens directly on the platform for additional rewards, enhancing passive income opportunities.
Launchpad AcceleRaytor
Raydium's AcceleRaytor platform supports token launches for new blockchain projects, providing early investment opportunities for users.
Governance
Raydium follows a decentralized governance model through the RAY token. Holders can vote on platform updates, new liquidity pools, and key protocol changes. Governance decisions are implemented based on community voting results.
