The counties which encompass the Florida Panhandle are Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, Washington, Dixie, Franklin, Gadsden, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, Wakulla.

Miami Metropolitan Area

Gary Hilton Kidnapped, robbed, murdered and dismembered Cheryl Dunlap at Apalachicola National Forest. 13 years, 251 days He was also sentenced to life in prison in Georgia for the murder of Meredith Emerson, and was sentenced in North Carolina to four life sentences for the murders of John and Irene Bryant. Hilton is also suspected in the killing of Judy Smith.

North Florida

In case Miami prosecutors seek the death penalty again, he will be tried by a jury.

Originally sentenced to death for the murder of Harvey Horne II in 1996, the Florida Supreme Court threw out Doty's sentence in 2016, but he was retried and received a new one in 2018. Has selected electrocution as his method of execution.
