Abhishek Nigam is an Indian actor who primarily works in the Hindi television industry. He is known for his roles as Veer Nanda in Hero – Gayab Mode On, Ali Baba in Ali Baba: Ek Andaaz Andekha, and Sagar Maheshwari in Pukaar – Dil Se Dil Tak. In 2019, he appeared in the historical film Panipat, portraying Vishwasrao Peshwa.

Nigam was raised in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. He has a younger brother, Siddharth Nigam, who also is an actor.

He completed his early education from DPS Public School, Allahabad. Later, he moved to Pune for higher studies and pursued a master's degree in law from New Law College. He then moved to Mumbai to pursue acting.

Career

In 2017, he made his television debut with Akbar - Rakht Se Takht Ka Safar. In the same year, he played supporting roles in Mere Sai - Shraddha Aur Saburi, Chandra Nandini, and Paramavatar Shri Krishna.

In October 2019, he launched the music label "Bon Bros Records" with his brother Siddharth Nigam. Under the label, he directed several music videos, including 'Attachment', 'Tu Mera Bhai Hai', and 'Hasdi Reya Kar'. Later, he ventured into lyric writing and music composition with the song 'Meri Hai Maa'.

In December 2019, he made his Bollywood debut with Ashutosh Gowariker's Panipat. From 2020 to 2021, he portrayed the role of Veer "Hero" Nanda in SAB TV's Hero – Gayab Mode On opposite Yesha Rughani and Tunisha Sharma.

In 2023, he replaced Sheezan Khan to portray the titular role of Ali Baba in the second season of Sony SAB's Ali Baba. Later that year, he played Chirag, a nerdy character, in Amazon miniTV's anthology series Jab We Matched. Since May 2024, he is appearing in Sony TV's Pukaar – Dil Se Dil Tak, alongside Sayli Salunkhe and Anushka Merchande.

Media

In August 2022, on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence, the Ministry of Culture recognized 75 Cultural Ambassadors, among whom Nigam was selected as one.
