Aravinda has consistently demonstrated his prowess, winning three gold medals at the Sri Lanka National Championships from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, he has secured four international gold medals in the 400-meter hurdles race.

Aravinda has represented the Sri Lankan Army Sports Club at the local level and holds the inter-regimental record for the 400-meter hurdles. He also represented the Sri Lanka National Track and Field team from 2013 to 2019.

Aravinda retired from competitive athletics in 2022 due to a leg injury.
