Your GA nomination of The Foundations of Decay

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article The Foundations of Decay you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Wake Me Up When September Ends

Where would it fit better then? An appearance on a "best of" list from a major publication such as Loudwire is not a "random ranking" in my opinion. Are the mentions of appearances on various lists to be removed from the Basket Case article as well? Lofi Gurl (talk) 00:26, 30 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi, I'd say that the ranking would be better fit in Reception where similar lists are. As for Holiday (or Basket Case, I guess), I'm gonna get around to cleaning up that article eventually but for now it's probably fine. λ NegativeMP1 00:36, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
cool, thank you for talking. Lofi Gurl (talk) 00:38, 30 November 2024 (UTC)

Removal of maintenance tag

Hi. I'd suggest at least pinging me if the conversation has reached a conclusion that is satisfactory. As stated, because 5 editors say "Well I don't think it is" or make arguments similar to WP:OTHERSTUFF, it has not addressed my concerns with the list which is key in addressing the situation. At least ping me before removing a maintenance tag. Andrzejbanas (talk) 20:12, 8 December 2024 (UTC)

Those editors going against what your saying is still a consensus, though. And I figured that you seeing me removing it in your watchlist would've been enough, sorry. λ NegativeMP1 20:20, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
Takes a second to ask. The watchlist removal was a misclick. Andrzejbanas (talk) 21:38, 8 December 2024 (UTC)

A kitten for you!

Thank you so much for your in-depth reviews of two of my good article nominations in just one week (!). I hope that we have an opportunity to work together again in the future :)

Muffet

Muffet is a character in undertale, so why do you keep removing my edit of the characters of undertale and deltarune? Yes, I know it is unsourced, that is because I wrote it all myself based on the character in the actual game. GibleGamingYT (talk) 00:31, 18 December 2024 (UTC)

Hi, you need reliable, secondary sources to back up your claims regarding the character and demonstrate why the character is significant in any regard. Most unsourced content falls under original research. λ NegativeMP1 01:28, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
Ok, that is helpful. Thank you. I might try to find a credible source to use. GibleGamingYT (talk) 15:51, 18 December 2024 (UTC)

Top-M.O.O.N shooter

Hi, wanted you to ping about your recent edit on Hotline Miami today, which might’ve been a mistake. NegativeMP1 (talk · contribs) RFNirmala (talk) 08:28, 24 December 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for alerting me of that mistake. Honest to god, I have no idea how that edit ended up happening. I think my editor glitched. λ NegativeMP1 08:41, 24 December 2024 (UTC)

Helena (My Chemical Romance song)

I just saw that the nominated the article for GA, and wanted to tell you what a great job you've done with the article. I'll help you take care of the sample you've uploaded given that it needs a little bit of fixing up, but I also wanted to give a few quick pointers on the article before it gets picked up for an actual review (maybe I'll take it on myself if it isn't already by the time the GA backlog drive begins?):

1) There needs to be a release history section on the article if you can find any info on it, detailing its radio history and physical releases; see Diamonds (Rihanna song) for a fairly in-depth example of one

2) You might want to double-check if some of those "rankings" in the reception section are actually rankings --- the Billboard one for instance only seems to be a listing of songs, and doesn't actually say that it is ranking the songs anywhere

3) I also found a source via the Misplaced Pages library you may find useful, more as an FYI if you want to try and incorporate it in: https://eds.p.ebscohost.com/eds/detail/detail?vid=0&sid=d262ed61-ed65-4b2b-afe8-c408845fd300%40redis&bdata=JnNpdGU9ZWRzLWxpdmUmc2NvcGU9c2l0ZQ%3d%3d#AN=16508073&db=bth

Good luck with the GA reviews! Are you planning on bringing May Death Never Stop You up to a good topic, by chance? Leafy46 (talk) 19:08, 27 December 2024 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for fixing up the audio sample and the quick comments regarding the article, I've added the source you provided (I think it's the same one? For some reason, I can't open that link). As for the release history, it was already a pain in the first place trying to find a source that said it released on March 8. Seriously, I'm pretty sure most if not all of its release information is easily accessible is already lost media or dead links. Either that or I didn't look hard enough. And regarding rankings, I've cut the Billboard one, but I think the others are good. λ NegativeMP1 19:46, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
Forgot to comment on the good topic related bit: I'm not really sure how that would work, or if it would pass nomination, since it's a greatest hits album. The only good topic that I could see as feasible for my work on these articles would maybe be a "My Chemical Romance singles discography" topic, but that would require me to rewrite 14 more articles + get the discography article to FL, and many of those singles would probably be a pain to find sourcing for and write, especially the Bullets singles. λ NegativeMP1 19:51, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
Yep, that's the correct source as far as I can see and I totally get it regarding the release history. In regards to the good topic nomination, I actually think that it stands a decent shot, and is something I've been seeing as a long-term goal as opposed to focusing on any specific album. For one, there is a bit of precedent with Greatest Hits albums being good topics, with Madonna being the big one: The Immaculate Collection, for instance. It also would not require an article for an album's tour to be created, something which I've been struggling to find good information on for The Black Parade and prior. Leafy46 (talk) 21:25, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
Hmm, in that case then maybe that wouldn't be a bad idea. I've went ahead and made a visualization of what work would be required out of curiosity, and... yeah I'm still not sure how much of this is even feasible. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad as I expect, but I can't imagine writing about the Bullets singles would be fun or easy whatsoever, and it doesn't help that every album article and existing article is so bad that I'd effectively be working from scratch on all of them. I also wonder if a theoretical GTN would have people requesting that articles be made for "You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison" and "The Kids from Yesterday". λ NegativeMP1 21:55, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
No idea. I'll definitely be working towards the goal of a May Death Never Stop You GT as a long-term kind of thing, especially since I listened to Danger Days for the first time yesterday and feel particularly inspired (though I'm taking a bit of a break from MCR as a whole due to over-exposure to their stuff). However, as you've said, the Bullets songs do seem rather tedious to work through, even if they would be easier to fix up than the articles of each individual album. It'd also be rather difficult to patch together some of the bigger articles (looking directly at "Welcome to the Black Parade" and "I'm Not Okay"), though those would be prerequisite anyways for any album-whole GT. In any case, thanks for letting me bounce the idea off of you, and good luck once again with your open GANs :) Leafy46 (talk) Leafy46 (talk) 23:10, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
