Al-Tariq is fictional character in Marvel Comics.
Controversy
Al-Tariq was a terrorist villain in the "New Deal" story arc that attempted to redescribe Captain America in relation to the post-9/11 world. Reactions to the story can be found on Amazon or here
Trivia
The character was nominated for the Wizard Fan Award for Favorite Villain in 2003, and for the Comics' Greatest Moment - 2002 Award for when "Captain America kills Al-Tariq" in Captain America #3.
