Taimak (born Taimak Guarriello on June 24, 1964) is an American actor and martial artist. Taimak has acted in more than 10 films, his first being 1985's The Last Dragon.

Early life

Born to an Italian father and African American mother, Taimak has studied Chinese goju, goju-ryu, taekwondo and jujitsu.

Career

Cast in The Last Dragon,Taimak had no prior acting training or experience, and was taught on set. He later appeared as the lead male in Janet Jackson's "Let's Wait Awhile" music video, Debbie Allen's "Special Look" Video and on the TV show A Different World. Taimak has also worked as a personal trainer to celebrities such as Madonna a member of the Spice Girls.

He also starred and then was fired in a play that toured the States called "Cheaters" opposite a large cast of African American stars.

Taimak use to co-own a gym that went out of business on the east side of Manhattan in New York city called "Fitness Concepts". According to him he has since parted ways with the partners.
