Child pornography refers to pornographic images of children. Such images are always illegal. The methods used to capture these images usually involve the offender deceiving the child. The photos may be released onto the internet for other pedophiles using a peer-to-peer network, to avoid being caught. Qualitative research on the experiences of children in child pornography production have shown that some children found the experienced funny at the time but later had some regrets once the images where spread without their consent.
