Child pornography refers to pornographic images of children. Such images are always illegal. The methods used to capture these images usually involve the offender deceiving the child. The photos may be released onto the internet for other pedophiles using a peer-to-peer network, to avoid being caught.

The amount of child porn have been over exaggerated by media, the real amount consists mostly of old material and very little new material is produced.
