Divine Brown (born Estella Marie Thompson, 9 August 1969) is an American prostitute who gained considerable public recognition in 1995 when Hugh Grant, a British actor, was caught receiving oral sex from her in a car on Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard. Both Brown and Grant were arrested, and considerable damage was done to Grant's public image. In the ensuing publicity, she appeared on a number of television shows, including The Howard Stern Show and Danny Bonaduce's short-lived Danny!. In 1996, she played herself in a film based on the incident, Sunset and Divine: The British Experience by Ron Jeremy. In all, she is reported to have earned $1.6 million from the publicity, though she was rearrested in Las Vegas in September 1996 for prostitution and loitering. She made further appearances after her second arrest, on Joey Buttafuoco's cable access show in 1998 and on Judge Judy in 1999, and on the Danish documentary series Negermagasinet in 2005. She was also the subject of an X-rated biopic Million Dollar Hooker in 2006.
