Nathaniel Marvin Wolff (born December 17, 1994) is an American actor, musician, and songwriter. Wolff is the lead singer of The Naked Brothers Band, which is also a television series on Nickelodeon, loosely based on his and his brother Alex's lives.
Wolff began writing songs at the age of four, and has written over 150 songs. He lists the British rock band The Beatles as one of his biggest inspiratons, and his song "If There Was A Place" is very similar to The Beatles' "Let it Be". Wolff gained notice when, to "do a benefit for...firefighters' kids" in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, he held his birthday party at a fire station and performed a self-written song "Firefighters" (later retitled "Rosalina"); the event raised US$45,000 in charitable contributions.
Wolff was born in Los Angeles, California, the son of actress/director Polly Draper (who directed The Naked Brothers Band) and jazz pianist Michael Wolff. He started The Naked Brothers Band with his brother, Alex. Nat recently became the bassist a high school band called The LuckyRed. The band does original material and NBB songs as well, although he is not the lead singer. His family is Jewish.
