Dr. Justin A. McCarthy is an American demographer, Ottoman Empire researcher, and history professor at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. He studies the Balkans, Balkan history, the Middle East, and Middle Eastern history.
Justin McCarthy got his Ph.D. at University Of California, Los Angeles in 1978. His Post-Doctoral Certificate is from the "Office Of Population Research" at Princeton University.
He was awarded the Order of Merit of Turkey by the President of Turkey in 1998 and he got his Honorary Doctorate at Süleyman Demirel University in Turkey.
