Benny Hester, born in Waco, Texas, is a Contemporary Christian Music singer and songwriter. He is best known for the chart-topping song, "When God Ran."
Benny moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he formed a jingle advertising company named MusAd. While in Las Vegas, Benny met now renowned music producer Brent Maher. Brent went on to produce Benny's first album, the self titled, "Benny...". From 1993 to 1996 he was a Music Producer and Songwriter for the MTV/Nickelodeon show Roundhouse.
Benny is the father of notable film and television music composer, Eric Hester.
