Detective Constable Kate Spears was a police officer in the long running ITV drama The Bill played by actress Tania Emery.
Kate Spears first appeared in The Bill as a replacement in CID following the departments clearout in the wake of the Don Beech Scandal. Kate will be chiefly remembered for her affair with station Superintendent Tom Chandler. Shortly after ending her relationship with Chandler and promising to expose their affair Kate was killed in the first Sun Hill Fire
