The station gets particularly busy at the weekend with tourists visting Camden Market; to prevent overcrowding on the platforms, entry to the station from the street is restricted on Sunday afternoons.
London Underground are currently in the process of applying for planning permission to demolish the old station and replace it with a modern building. The plans include demolshing Buck Street Market, commonly known as Camden Market, The Electric Ballroom and several houses and shops.
