Not much is known about them. The names Diamond and Pearl are currently unconfirmed, although the games have been officially announced by Nintendo.
There are currently only five known new Pokémon who has been added to the game:
- Munchlax, the pre-evolution of Snorlax
- Rukario, a legendary Pokémon
- Usohachi, the pre-evolution of Sudowoodo
- Manene, the pre-evolution of Mr. Mime
- Manyula, the evolved form of Sneasel
Many people have speculated over what will be in the games. Among the most wanted features is a customizable trainer.
Current speculation is that Diamond and Pearl will be released for the 2005 Christmas Season.
Pokémon Diamond was also the name of an unauthorized bootleg version of the Japanese Game Boy Color game Telefang.
