John W. Bonner, (July 16, 1902-March 28, 1970) was an attorney and former Governor of Montana, a state in the United States.

He was a native Montanan.

He served as Attorney General of Montana from 1941 to 1942. Governor Bonner served in the U.S. Army during World War II attaining the rank of Colonel. After the war, he successfully ran for Governor of Montana as the Democratic Party candidate. He was governor from 1949 to 1953.
