Slow Train Coming was Bob Dylan's first album after he openly became a Christian. This album alienated many of Dylan's fans because of its overt evangelical religiosity; however, for the same reason many Christians were drawn into Dylan's fan base. Also, "Gotta Serve Somebody" won the Grammy for best rock vocal performance by a male in 1980.
