Kamenz (Sorbian Kamjenc, Polish Kamieniec) is a Lusatian town in eastern Saxony, Germany, with a population of 18,000, and is the capital of the eponymous district. The philosopher and poet Gotthold Ephraim Lessing was born in Kamenz.
