Template:DisneyChar Tiana (originally named Maddy) is to be the main protagonist of Disney's upcoming 2009 animated feature, The Princess and the Frog. She will be voiced by Anika Noni Rose.

She reportedly will be the next official Disney Princess, and the first black Disney Princess (as well as Disney's first black main character period). Technically, she will also be the first American Disney Princess as well, since Pocahontas, while a Native American, her story takes place prior to the establishment of the United States, while Tiana's is to take place in 1920s Louisiana.
