Behringer is a German company, founded in its present form in 1989, that manufactures and sells musical equipment. The company makes use of modern business practices and outsources manufacturing to China. It has managed to be a major player in the low cost segment of such equipment. The company has been accused of copying other manufacturers' designs, resulting in corporate lawsuits from Alesis, Mackie, and Roland (makers of the BOSS Brand).

Behringer designs and manufactures a full line of professional audio products for musicians and sound engineers. Their products include mixing consoles, analog and digital signal processors, guitar amplifiers, studio reference monitors, microphones, and public address enclosures.
