It was created by John "Bradshaw" Layfield shortly after winning the WWE Championship at The Great American Bash 2004.
Current members
The group is organized like a presidential cabinet from which it probably derives its name. The trademark of the group is the "Longhorn" taunt, where each member raises their arms at an angle and positions their hands flat resembling JBL's Texas longhorn symbol.
- Leader: John "Bradshaw" Layfield
- Chief of Staff: Orlando Jordan
- Co-Secretaries of Defense: The Basham Brothers (Doug and Danny Basham)
All four of the current memebers have been World Wrestling Entertainment champions. John Layfield won the WWE title at The Great American Bash 2004, and kept it until Judgment Day 2005. This reign lasted nine months, and concequently JBL is the longest-reigning champion of this decade. JBl defeated many WWE giants, including Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker, Booker T and Kurt Angle. However, most of these wins resulted from cheating, making some marks feel that JBL is also one of the most controversial champions of the past decade. He has held tag-team titles with former-WWE employee Ron Simmons and part of the APA (Acolyte Protection Agency) or the Acolytes.
Orlando Jordan is the current United States Champion, after picking up a controversial win over former-champ John Cena. This is his first title reign.
The Basham Brothers are also former champions. They previously held the WWE Tag-team championships, losing them to former champions Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio. The Bashams have also held the tag titles on other occasions, when managed by former valet Shaniqua
