Wikiportals are Misplaced Pages pages intended to be the main pages for Wikipedians interested in a specific area of knowledge, helping both to find the information on the specific topic and to develop articles connected with it. They can be associated with one or more WikiProjects. Unlike WikiProjects, however, they are meant to be used both by editors and by readers of Misplaced Pages. If you want to help run one of the Wikiportals listed below, please add yourself to the list.

Existing Wikiportals
The following is a list of all known Wikiportals on the English Misplaced Pages together with who founded them and when and who maintains them. Please insert new entries alphabetically and wikify both date and year so personally preferred date formats are inserted for registered users. The "opening" date is the date on which the first completed portal went live or when it was created as per history.
Please list your name below under the appropriate Wikiportal if you want to help keeping it up to date on a regular basis.
How to create a new portal?
Only create a portal if you intend to maintain it.
You should create a new portal on Topic at Misplaced Pages:Wikiportal/Topic. To create a skeleton for the new portal, substitute {{portal skeleton}}, like this:
{{subst:portal skeleton| topic=Topic| bg=Bg| headbg=Headbg| headfg=Headfg}}
thus if creating a physics portal you would use for example
{{subst:portal skeleton| topic=Physics| bg=yellow| headbg=black| headfg=#123456}}
and save it when you are happy with the colors. You can use the red links or the edit links to create the templates that are used. You may want to remove any sections you don't want and reorder them so that both columns are approximately of the same total length, then edit the width to compensate. When the contents of the templates changes the columns may change length and you should then readjust the width. You can place a link to your portal on the appropriate article by placing a {{portal}} there, so that people will know it exists.
