Recent events which can no longer be mentioned have led me to agree with an MP over unacceptable editorial policy on Misplaced Pages:

My sort of recollection of Misplaced Pages sites is they are a bit, sort of, a bit anti-government, they are sort of a bit negative about people in the government. That is my recollection of them, so maybe we should fire people up to edit them - but I know they have editorial control at Misplaced Pages so it probably wouldn't help. I guess, over the last year at some stage, I would have looked at the site, at my site, on Misplaced Pages. They seem to have a system where there is actually some editorial control over Misplaced Pages, so it's not quite what it appears. It's a bit misleading because Misplaced Pages itself has its own editorial policy so what is edited in, it could be anyone in the public in cyberspace, can be edited out by the Misplaced Pages editorial board so it seems to me to be a little misleading.

- Alexander Downer, Minister in the Liberal Party of Australia federal government. Downer declares Misplaced Pages "anti-government", 24/08/2007.
