iPod Touch is a portable media player designed and marketed by Apple and that was released on September 5, 2007 as part of an event dubbed "The Beat Goes On", which featured the introduction of CoverFlow to the iPod line and The Beatles to the iTunes Store. It is the 6th model in the iPod line released by Apple. It is wider than the 2nd-generation iPod Nano, but has the same aluminium casing. As of August 2007, the line-up consisted of the video-capable fifth generation iPod, the smaller second generation iPod nano, and the display-less second generation iPod shuffle. This is the newest model in the iPod line. The iPod Touch uses 8 or 16 gigabyte of flash memory. The iPod Touch is the first generation of iPods to include access to the iTunes Store.
User interface
The iPod Touch has a more advanced interface than the older models, but still contains the same listing on the front, and single button home navigation.
