Reverting unnecesary ruthlessness was absolutely ok. But in the process, you reveretd a new section as well - the section on cuisine, under "culture"! Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 17:34, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Venu62 is making destructive edits

Please revert http://en.wikipedia.org/Image:Youngcvb.jpg to its earlier version. I cant do it anymore since I might violate the WP:3RR rule. Venu62 is on a rampage tagging properly licensed images with copyvio tags - I guess this what is called vandalism. Maybe people who are familiar with his destructive POV edits should complain against him collectively. Kris (☎ talk | contribs) 19:19, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Just a suggestion; take care when reverting so called destructive reverts. The person who has asked you to suggested complaining as a group is in enough trouble as it is. Ncmvocalist 23:07, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks for your wonderful and valuable contributions to the Carnatic music article. Thanks Parthi 07:29, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for reverting your reverts. You will agree that the passage is NPOV and is fully cited. I thank you for your help in this regard. I mean it sincerely. Cheers Parthi 09:53, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Goa Inquisition

I've reverted your edit to Goa Inquisition. Until a consensus is reached on the talk page, the version which does not accuse someone of committing a massacre is the safest version to keep. I understand that there are sources calling it a massacre, but clearly there is some disagreement over their reliability. Please do not revert again, or I will protect the page. --Tango 14:52, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Elst

Bharatveer, I must ask you to not revert without discussing on the talk page, or at least answering the points raised in an edit summary. On the Elst page, I noted that an alleged connection to the Vlaams Blok is sensibly viewed as controversial, as that party is banned in Elst's home country of Belgium. It would be missing a great deal to reduce the relevant paragraph to merely 'influences'. Please discuss on the talk page. Hornplease 11:06, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Malayalam language

Hello,

Can you please tell me what is incorrect in the following sentence?

A very few people whose Sanskrit names end in "a" are given the plural suffix "-r" rather than normal "n" because they are revered, but this is extremely inconsistent - for example, Śankarācārya becomes Śankarācāryar but Agastya becomes Agastyan.

I notice that you keep removing it from the article. Thanks. --vi5in 19:34, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

I added my 2c to the discussion. But I still don't see why that point it removed. The inconsistency is mentioned. The -r ending is actually very rare for Gods/Sages/Revered Persons. It's mostly -n. Maybe that point can be rewritten? --vi5in 03:14, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

RE: IP

I have clarified on AN/I. I think it is User:Kuntan as the IP is in the same range that he uses.--Konstable 12:05, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Michael Witzel

Bharatveer, I urge you to review our WP:BLP policy before reverting. That something is sourced isn't enough: it must be reliablysourced, fairly characterized, neutrally presented and given due weight (which in some cases can mean exclusion) relative to the biography as a whole.Proabivouac 08:49, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Romila Thapar

pls respond. Doldrums 13:58, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

what i'm removing is not "referenced info". the reference provided does not actually support the text added. EMS makes no statement referring to Thapar's "role in the development of application of Marxist thought in the field of Indian history and philosophy" - He is speaking of Debiprasad and Kosambi, not Thapar. Doldrums 13:55, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
i repeat. text and a url do not make "referenced information". as i've pointed out atleast 3 times, the reference provided does not actually support the text added. if you disagree, discuss, substantiate or ask for a third opinion. don't just keep re-adding dubious information into a BLP. Doldrums 12:46, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
We must get the article right. Be very firm about the use of high quality references. Unsourced or poorly sourced contentious material — whether negative, positive, or just questionable — about living persons should be removed immediately and without discussion from Misplaced Pages articles, talk pages, user pages, and project space. - WP:BLP (emph mine) Doldrums 12:59, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
for a start, try this, this, this and this. Doldrums 13:07, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
for starters, that's not what the text you added says. the source has nothing to say about Thapar's "pioneering role in the development of application of Marxist thought in the field of Indian philosophy". probably because Thapar hasn't been applying Marxist thought to Indian philosophy, instead, she's been following through with Kosambi's materialistic approach to study ancient Indian societies and their organisation. when we fix a a good source for this (eg. ) , we'll add this info. till then, we can do without mentions of various people who dropped Thapar's name littering the section on Thapar's work. that the mention of her name (as one of a "host", does that tell you anything?) is "great recognition" is your interpretation, an iffy one when you consider the lavish praise EMS doles out to Kosambi and Debiprasad and contrasts with the "she exists" mention he makes of Thapar. Being watchful

I see you are an experienced and watchful and keep an eye on many topics by deleteing POV and vandalism. Can you tell whether these reverts in the name of "reverting edits by a banned user" (about 25 such reverts in different articles without mentioning which user) are just. Also the user changed figures in Hinduism by country and keeps trolling on Talk:Hinduism talkpage. Please help. KH 13:40, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Jagdish Chandra Bose

May I respectfully ask why you reverted the recent edits to the article above? I thought I made all changes based on WP Biography style guidelines. Arman Aziz 06:51, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Indian astronomy

I added a well sourced section "Merucentric Astronomy in Indian astronomy at the insistence of SteveMcCluskey who is interested in History of Science Project. You (Bharatveer) reverted without discussing. See 'Discuss Before Reverting' in Talk:Indian astronomy. Some important and correct statements were also reverted, and references deleted. History may contain wrong or unclear ideas, but we should not delete history. -- Vinay Jha 11:55, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

I accept your apology. It's nice to see you are at least willing to face such defects. dab (𒁳) 13:21, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
To DAB : The sentence "History may contain wrong or unclear ideas, but we should not delete history." refers to Merucentric history which was the tpoic of discussion, and not to my or your personal history. I am surprised at your (DAB's) incompetence in interpreting simple English. One who has abused without provocation asks for apology ! You were wondering how Meru shifted to North Pole, or wherefrom Tilak got his Arctic Homeland idea . Besides, my edits in Indian astronomy included something on Aryabhata's relation with Brahmagupta and Varah Mihir, which you should have seen before supporting a wrong version instead of mine. It will augment your knowledge about India. -Vinay Jha. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Vinay Jha (talkcontribs) 14:10:24, August 19, 2007 (UTC).
Ofcourse , user:dAb is very famous for his everlasting courtesy and politeness. All wikipedians should get lessons from him. Atleast they should know about this. .-Bharatveer 07:53, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
you are a small marvel of courtesy yourself, Bharatveer, credit where credit is due. I must really have made a lasting impression on you in that Rajput debate, mustn't I. dab (𒁳) 12:48, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Nanda devi op by R&AW

Hello, Bharatveer I found that you have deleted the recent addition to the R&AW page about the failure of elint op on the premise of speculative info, however if i may draw your attention that more than three books and quite a number of websites bear out the same story we find that the story seems quite authentic. Moreover if we are to categorise these info as speculative then almost the entire page on R&AW needs to be deleted because there is almost nil authentic official info on R&AW, hence i shall request you to revisit your decision LegalEagle 08:08, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Bharatveer, I hope you have no probs if i revert your edit. Do feel free to contact me if you think it is unjustified LegalEagle 10:59, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi Bharatveer! Noticed the weasel tag that you left on the article. Would be more useful if you can also highlight in the talkpage on parts that you are uncomfortable with, so that it would make things easier. Thanks. ώiki Ѕαи Яоzε 14:30, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

India and Indian National Army

Hi, I noticed you have udnertook some editing in the India page. If you have a look in the page history and the Talk:India page, you will notice that Fowler&fowler«Talk» may have taken an issue with my earlier edits win the India#History section regarding the last decade of the The Raj and the Indian independence movement. It is possible that he may have come under impression that I making a PoV edit to promote Subhas Chandra Bose and the Indian National Army, which I have explained I am not. I have explained my edits here and Talk:India#Bose_and_the_history_section I would like it if you gave your opinions on this issue in the talk page since I felt the page was an extremely condensed form of the movement which actually gave a factually wrong impression, and I would like it if this was addressed in the article even if my edits have to be modified for this.Your views would be appreciated.Rueben lys 01:09, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Issue with WP:V

I was disappointed to see that you are supporting the bulk addition of unsourced material by an editor who has been warned many times about WP:OR and WP:V: . Do you suggest that I apply fact tags to every sentence in the article? Buddhipriya 09:01, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
