Is all this stuff about his drug busts really worthy of inclusion?217.44.176.159 (talk) 21:39, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- It is an accurate recitation of the events in the life of a person who has been determined to be notable. bd2412 T 23:13, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- It's a selective listing of some events in his life. There are plenty of other events that could be listed (what he had for lunch, who his girlfriend is...), but aren't because they are nothing to with his notability. Presumably you're arguing his legal problems are connected to his notability. Care to expand on that?217.44.176.159 (talk) 20:21, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- Sure. Gore's legal issues have been reported in the nightly news, as evidenced by the citations in the article itself. Most people's aren't. On the other hand, I have seen no news reports regarding either his dietary habits or his love life. I imagine that if he were to get married, that would be reported (and would be added to the article). bd2412 T 21:50, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

- For more information on how this subject has been hashed out at some great length see talk archives. One point of view is pretty accurately reflected in BD2412's comment above. Another, not prevalent view (based on talk consensus), answers your question in the negative; that undue weight has been given these charges, an opinion which I held until the most recent marijuana/prius incident. After subject got stopped for going over 100mph in the Prius while smoking weed (a charge to which he pled guilty), I couldn't bring myself to argue on his behalf. IMHO, subject is now notable more for his brushes with the law than for his association with a celebrity father. Sad, but accurate. BusterD (talk) 00:22, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- If his notability stems from his legal problems and not from his father, then millions of ordinary people are just as notable. I don't see that keeping unnecessary detail out of a minor article equates to arguing on behalf of the subject of the aricle. It's more to do with keeping Misplaced Pages as an encyclopedia and not an omnipedia.217.44.176.159 (talk) 20:21, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- As I mentioned above, Gore's legal issues receive national news coverage. Millions of ordinary people do not get that sort of attention. bd2412 T 21:50, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

deletion?
Why does this article belong in Misplaced Pages? I'm not sure I see the relevance. Counterfact (talk) 09:14, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
