His debut single, a cover of "When You Believe" will be available from midnight on 16 December 2007.
Jackson is from Whitburn, West Lothian, Scotland, and formerly worked as a retail sales assistant. He auditioned for The X Factor in Glasgow, having only started singing properly in January 2007 after his mother bought him an iPod and he began recording his voice. Apart from his hobby of karate, in which he is a black belt, Jackson says that singing is the only thing that makes him happy. Before he made it through to the finals, Jackson had been planning to start a singing course at Napier University.
Ray Quinn is in line for a future duet with Leon.
Wembley Performance
In December 2007 Leon performed with Michael Buble in Wembley arena singing Buble's "Home", he has a scorching applause as he started his first note, Leon said this was the highlight of his life as Buble is his idol.
