Barrington College was founded in 1900 as the Bethel Bible Training School in Spencer, Massachusetts. It was relocated to Dudley, Massachusetts. The college then moved to Barrington in 1959. Financially unable to continue operation, it closed in 1985 and its alumni merged with Gordon College, in Wenham, Massachusetts.
After Barrington College merged with Gordon College, the campus was sold and became the site of Zion Bible College.
