Dakota Mayi Johnson (born in Taylor, Texas on October 4, 1989) is an American actress. She is the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith and the granddaughter of Tippi Hedren.

Early Life

Dakota is the third oldest of 6 siblings Jesse Johnson (25),Alexander Bauer (22),Stella Banderas (11),Atherton Johnson (8),Jasper Johnson (5), and Deacon Johnson (1).Her mother and father divorced in 1995 and her Mother got remarried, to actor Antonio Banderas in 1996.

She was voted Miss Golden Globe, 2006, and actually served as the first second-generation Miss Golden Globe in the Globes' history.

She grew up in San Francisco during the fourth grade, where she attended The Hamlin School for one year. After that, she left and went to Santa Catalina high school in Monterey. She is 5'9".

She is good friends with Rumer Willis the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. In December, 2007 it was announced that 18 year old Dakota had completed a 30-day stint at Visions Teen Treatment Centre in Malibu after her mother discovered she had a drug and alcohol problem.
