Tom Marvolo Riddle (born c. 1926) is a fictional character in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. He was a student at Hogwarts fifty years before the events of the books and kept a diary.
Riddle later adopted the name Lord Voldemort and became a powerful Dark wizard.
Since Lord Voldemort and Tom Riddle are the same character, they are covered in the same article. Due to Misplaced Pages policy, the most well-known and commonly used name for the character, "Lord Voldemort", is the title of that article. This short article exists because a redirect would have revealed, without warning, Tom Riddle's true identity.
