Thanks
Hi Cyberjunkie. Thanks for your welcome message. - and thanks for fixing up the link to my contributions. I don't mind at all :-) And now I have worked out what was wrong with the formatting too. - cheers Adz 8 July 2005 09:45 (UTC)
Welcoming template
Hi there! I was told you're one of the frequent welcomers of new users. I was wondering - since this is a rather frequently asked question, would you please add a link to Misplaced Pages:Merge to your welcoming template? Thanks. (by the way - since mainspace has {{welcome}} already, wouldn't it be logical to put your version in userspace? Not that I mind really but just a thought). Radiant_>|< 20:46, July 10, 2005 (UTC)
- Howdy Radiant. Thank you for the recomendation vis-à-vis 'userfying' my welcoming message. As it happens, I have been intending to do so for a while now. Had I been aware in April (when I created it) that I could transinclude from userspace, I would have done so. The only thing holding me back from making the conversion is, frankly, laziness (and by extension, the fact that it would be longer to type :P). With regards to adding a link to Merge, I am undecided. Given the general nature of my message, and because it is for new users (who I doubt are actually merging articles - I, myself, have done so only 3 times in my time here), I don't see it as necessary. However, I will consider your request further. This search returns other users' welcome messages that you might want to visit. Image:Light2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Light2.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Until a more informative tag is provided, it will be listed as {{no source}} or {{no license}}. Could you add a better tag to let us know its source and/or copyright status? If you made the image yourself, an easy way to deal with this is add {{GFDL}} if you're willing to release it under the GFDL. Alternatively, you could release all rights to it by adding {{NoRightsReserved}}. This would allow anyone to do whatever they wish with your image, without exceptions. However, if it isn't your own image, you need to specify what free license it was distributed under. You can find a list of the tags here. If it was not distributed under a free license, but you claim fair use, add {{fairuse}} but you need to substantiate your claim by explaining why you think it's fair use. If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images by posting to my talk page. If you do this, I can tag them for you. Thanks. RedWolf 04:58, July 12, 2005 (UTC)
your signature
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that you may want to check your signature in preferences. I think it is missing </ b>, after the last font tag. See WP Req for Admin revision. All the text after your signature was reduced, including the edit tabs. Was weird there for a minute, till I figured it out. I tried to recreate the malfunction, but it seemed to only happen every once in awhile. If I can recreate it, I'll send you a screenshot. Salut. ∞Who?¿? 06:10, 13 July 2005 (UTC)

- Thanks for letting me know. I didn’t notice the tag was incomplete or that it was causing such problems for Misplaced Pages. I must admit, the example you showed me is quite bizarre – who’d of thunk it!? Anyways, I was growing tired of having a formatted signature (and I’m over the whole flag thing), so I have changed back to a more common “username and talk” version, thus rectifying the problem. Thanks again for taking the time to let me know (and for providing screenshots!). --Cyberjunkie | Talk 06:40, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
- You're very welcome. I think it only did it in rare circumstances, I had to dig through pages to figure out where it forced the change. I really did like your sig tho. ∞Who?¿? 06:43, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
- I've got it recorded if I ever decide to return to it - I'll be sure to include the final </b> next time.--Cyberjunkie | Talk 06:45, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks for your kind welcome from me also. I've listed myself under Queensland, my home for the last few years, but I'll be interested in doing stuff about Adelaide, where I was born and grew up.

Commonwealth Realms
Hi, what's the background for you removing the Commonwealth Relams "link" in the Australia article? I think it is a good link to have, but am unaware of background discussion... --Anubis1975 11:58, 14 July 2005 (UTC)
I removed this term because it is obsolete. I removed 'Commonwealth of' from the title of the country because, although embedded in the federal constitution, this term is a hangover from colonial days, and made the opening more difficult to read, particularly for foreigners.

NZ etc
Thanks for setting up the to do table on NZ, it should be pretty easy to get it up to FAC standard now that I have experience doing so. On the Tasmanian Devil, the biology stuff is actually pretty comprehensive without going into the esoteric measurement of testicle temperature and milk composition :), but the conservation measures and cultural impacts could be expanded on, Island Fox is a FA I worked on recently and is about the same length as the devil article. Could you help keep an eye on User:Tony1's edits to Australia, they're not necessarily all bad, but they are grammatically unusual, I revernted a heap and I'm to sleepy to fix the last lot. Goodnight. --nixie 14:37, 14 July 2005 (UTC)
