Additional problems with your edit

Your edit had to be reverted because it had numerous problems. For one thing, it changed the text inside quotations from cited sources. You can't do that, that's not what the quoted authors wrote. In particular, you changed quotes by Alamantra, Moore, and Wilson.

In addition, you changed sentences of the text of the article which were cited to specific sources. What the article originally said was supported by those sources, but since you clearly didn't bother to check the supporting sources yourself, what you wrote altered the meaning in such a way as to be different from what the sources actually said.

You also made additions which were not cited to any source. Misplaced Pages is not a place to write about your personal thoughts on the subject. An encyclopedia reports what others have written about the subject. All additions must be verifiable to a source, and that source should be cited along with your addition. Any editor may remove unsourced material at any time, so if you want your changes to stick, you should be sure to cite them.

You also removed cited and verifiable information. In general, you should not do this without discussing your reasons with the other editors of the article and achieving a consensus on the removal.

I'd suggest that you do some reading as indicated in the welcome message about Misplaced Pages policies and guidelines so that you can avoid making these sorts of mistakes in the future.

Best regards, Will in China (talk) 20:15, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
