Al-Ain Football Club (Arabic: نادي العين; transliterated: Nady al-'Ayn) is a professional association football club based in the city of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates. Al-Ain won the 2003 Asian Champions League competition with a 2-1 aggregate victory over BEC Tero Sasana of Thailand.

Al Ain FC is by far the most successful club in the UAE and among the best in Asia. The team was established in 1968 in the quiet garden city of Al Ain. The team quickly gained popularity and recognition throughout the country, being the team with the most UAE league titles (nine) and the first UAE side to win the AFC Champions league title in 2003.

Al Ain Jersey

The Al Ain purple jersey was inspired by the Belgian Club Anderlecht's colours during a football training camp in Morroco in 1977. Al Ain's previous colours were green and then red but they are now permanently purple.

The New Stadium

It has been confirmed that a new 45,000 capacity all seater stadium will be built for the club as part of a new major residential and commercial project called Ain Al Emarat (Eye of the Emirates) which will be conducted by the Al Qudra Holding comapny in Al Ain, however the completion date for this project is yet to have been confirmed. Many news articles on the internet stated that the new stadium will be one of the worlds most technologically advanced sports stadiums with movable seat tiers similar to that of Japans Sapporo Dome, the stadium will also be fully covered with climate control features in order to protect the spectators from the suns heat and the new score board will be suspended above the playing pitch by four powerful steel cables.
