A term used to describe the pre-incarnate Christ. His appearance during the period of the old testament as depicted by the phrase “the angel of the Lord”. This phrase is first mentioned in Genesis 16:7 - “The angel of the LORD found Hagar near a spring in the desert; it was the spring that is “beside the road to Shur (New International Version).
