Leland Y. Yee is a California Assemblyman in the 12th district, which includes San Francisco, California. Yee is the speaker pro tempore of the assembly, and was elected in 2002.

Yee lived outside the United States until age 3.

Yee received a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Yee received a master's degree from San Francisco State University.

Yee holds a Ph. D. from the University of Hawaii.

Family

Yee currently has four children and is married.

Politics

Yee is a member of the Democratic party.

Yee is known for his attacks on the video game industry, and for wanting to put parent's rights under government control. Yee is also an advocate of censorship of the media. Yee justifies his agenda by saying that the media is "not concerned with the welfare of our children." Yee says that he supports free speech, but truly supports the restriction of speech and is trying to not appear to be in favor of violating the constitution.
