The Beatnigs

Hi, I just noticed that you deleted The Beatnigs, Michael Franti's former band, with an album on Alternative Tentacles (which I see has been re-released from the back catalog as a classic). I'm not trying to convince you it's a slam-dunk case for notability (I think it meets criterion 6, via Franti, and I think a Peel Sessions ought also to demonstrate notability), but I'm if I'd had it on my watchlist I'd certainly have asked it go to AfD. Could I convince you to undelete and send to AfD? Best regards, Pete.Hurd (talk) 07:34, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Hiya and Request for Deletion review

Hi there Coredesat. Thanks for all the editing work you do. I've been out of town for a while and just noticed that an article on a martial art called AMOK! was deleted. I assure you that the art is legitimate and so is its head instructor. Please advise me on how I can get this delete reverted. Thank you mudthang (talk) 14:55, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

My request for bureaucratship

Dear Coredesat, thank you for taking part in my RfB. As you may know, it was not passed by bureaucrats.
I would, however, like to thank you for taking the time to voice your support, despite concerns cited by the opposition. Although RfA/B isn't really about a person, but more about the community, I was deeply touched and honoured by the outpouring of support and interest in the discussion. I can only hope that you don't feel your opinion was not considered enough - bureaucrats have to give everyone's thoughts weight.
I also hope that the results of this RfB lead to some change in the way we approach RfBs, and some thought about whether long-entrenched standards are a good thing in our growing and increasingly heterogenous community.
I was a little miserable after the results came out, so I'm going to spread the love via dancing hippos. As you do. :)
I remain eager to serve you as an administrator and as an editor. If at any point you see something problematic in my actions, please do not hesitate to call me out. ~ Riana 13:41, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Agni in Vamei's article

I notice you removed the mention of Agni in Vamei's article. That is probably the best course of action for now, given that we don't have the IMD data, and the JTWC is unreliable/unofficial. Just to let you know, I emailed the IMD, and they said an online version of the best track would be available in two months (1877-2006), though they didn't say whether it would have a subscription or not. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:50, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
