Mr. Biffo, real name Paul Rose, is best known as the editor of Teletext-based video games magazine Digitiser, which ran between 1993 and 2003. Best known for surreal writing and honest opinions, he became a respected games journalist, and he continues to write a monthly column in Edge (games magazine).

In more recent times, he has been plying his trade as a scriptwriter for television, writing for children's shows such as Barking! and My Parents Are Aliens, as well as writing some scripts for UK soap operas, such as Crossroads and EastEnders.
