Marie Marthe Augustine (Mesange) Lemaitre Brémont was born in Noellet, France on April 25th, 1886, and

Her first husband, railroad worker Constant Lemaitre, was killed in the First World War. She married again in 1967 to a taxi driver Florentin Bremont.

Over the course of her life, she worked in a pharmaceutical factory, as a nanny, and as a seamstress. At 103, she was hit by a car and broke her arm.

She died on June 6th, 2001 at her retirement home Cande, France. She left no children.
