"Listing a price in conjunction with critical analysis of the game or content from secondary sources, such as describing the general prices for games, or that the very low or very high cost of a game was a factor in the critical reception of the work, can be included."
Well to be honest, I don't your edit meets this requirement. My interpretation of the policy is:
The price can be included if it had any bearing on the game's reception at the time of its release.
For instance, if the price of the game was affordable/exorbitant, that might have affected its sales. This is hard to prove, so most articles just stick to the sales figures.
We're talking the bidding prices on sites like ebay, which makes including it even more sketchy. If you can find a precedent for something similar on another game article (preferably B-class or higher), I'll reconsider it. Johnnyfog 15:33, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Alright, good work.
- The article you picked is indeed a B article. If you want to check, just click on the discussion tab at the top. But I still have some reservations. Ogre Battle had extremely limited distribution. Practically no one has played it without an emulator. That's a worthy object of note, since it affected its reception.
- However, I doubt any editor would tolerate posting Persona's ebay bidding price. Once the game is out of store circulation, as far as wikipedia is concerned, its disappeared. If you want to bolster the argument that it has become a sleeper hit, what you need to do is link to magazines or websites which mention it. Usually all you need is one link. - Ok, you can try that. You can link to the site, but please don't mention ebay in the article. A good place to stick the reference would be in the Reception section, maybe at the tail end of "although Persona was something of a sleeper hit"... Johnnyfog 22:38, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
