The Congo and its subsidiaries run through the second largest rain forest area in the world, only the Amazon Rainforest being (much) larger.
- Name for two countries in Africa:
- Republic of the Congo - Congo/Brazzaville, the smaller one in the west.
- Democratic Republic of the Congo - formerly Zaire - Congo/Kinshasa, the large one in the east.
- In Vodun, a rather dull and lazy spirit was named Congo.
