Chantal Claret (born February 21, 1982 in Berkeley, California, USA) is the lead singer, front woman and composer for the rock, post-punk revival and power pop band Morningwood. She was raised in New York city since she was 5, but has recently moved to Los Angeles. She is married to Little Jimmy Urine of the band Mindless Self Indulgence

She cowrote a monthly advice column in Alternative Press along with Riley Breckenridge, the drummer from Thrice that ended in December of 2007. She hosted an advice radio show on East Village Radio on Tuesday Nights at Midnight with her "Super Secret Sidekick".

At her live shows she is known to bring people up on stage and have them strip for a song called Take Off Your Clothes as well as has the audience perform aerobics for Nth Degree. Wears a gun holster as a microphone holder.</ref>

Prior to meeting Pedro Yanowitz (co-composer and partner in creation of Morningwood), former drummer for the Wallflowers and Natalie Merchant, Claret was attending film school, with an eye on directing music videos. She most recently directed the latest Morningwood video for Take Off Your Clothes, which can be seen on the band's MySpace. In 2002 Claret appeared in the indie short film by Kolton Lee 'American Mod'. She enjoys shooting guns, riding horses, swimming, and playing video games.
