Tyga is a up-and-coming hip hop artist signed in 2008 by Young Money Entertainment and Decaydance. Tyga is also the cousin of Travis McCoy, lead vocalist of the Gym Class Heroes. Tyga is a native of Gardena, California. His first single is "Coconut Juice." He achieved his first recognition opening for Fall Out Boy and Gym Class Heroes during the Young Wild Things Tour in late 2007 His birthday is November 20, 1989.
At age 18 Tyga has been coronated the next rap legend! He is not all street hype, unlike every other cookie cutter, watered down artist. His effortless flow and presumptuous swagger is evident through his music. Starting when he was 9 years old he knew this is what he wanted to do. He would go around the house rhyming until he fell asleep. Tyga has the ability to compose radio friendly hits as well as thought provoking music without compromising his artistic integrity. Every region has one person or group that people identify it with. For example, in the South a group like Outkast gave Atlanta an identity. This led the way for Ludacris, Young Jeezy and T.I.s accomplishments. The same can be said for the West as N.W.A. paved the way for artists such as Snoop Dogg and The Game to achieve multi-platinum success. With the same pioneering spirit, Tyga is forging a brand new musical identity for the West! His passion and work ethic set a new precedence for music. With an entity such as G.E.D Inc. behind him Tyga is ready to make timeless music. Tyga is also well known across the states for being on Tour and making guest appearances at shows with Gym Class Heroes. His older cousin Travis McCoy is his Music Mentor. Tyga has released a mixtape called “Young on Probation” earlier this year that is still buzzing in the streets. Many copies have been sold across the Globe. He will be releasing a mixtape in the fall with Travis from Gym Class Heroes. At the moment, Tyga has a single that is pending. This Single is called “Wow”, which is produced by Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy. Wow is a much anticipated single that is now being played over seas in Australia!
