This user and a bunch of IP addresses have added the same spam-link to Rainbow Family and (less often) Rainbow Gathering over the last several months. Semi-protecting should amplify the message that this link is not wanted. I checked the page history and found almost no good anon edits over the last few months, compared to more than 10 reverted edits, most recently in late April. temporary full protection , 2 weeks if possible. A social sciences and society good article has been overrun by likely disciples of Falun Gong who have admitted their political motivation. For example, the main culprit, Dalip rajeev (who has a history of edit wars), has stated to long-time editor Ohconfucius on the article talk page, Oconfucious, with each passing day more people lose their lives , more innocent families suffer. By letting people know about the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners are only hoping that more good natured people getting to know the truth will result in the killings and torture being stopped. Although it may be the truth, such claims are not verified. I, and Ohconfucious, have said many times that the new information, which is sourced from advocacy groups such as Amnesty International (as per their own website), certainly do not meet verifiability guidelines which state that the source must be third-party and independent. No consensus on the radical changes was ever reached on the article talk page, and it was suggested by Dilip supporters that the new radical changes should be added first to the article before being discussed which is contrary to Misplaced Pages's general rule of thumb that added information in a good article is what the burden of proof is on. In fact, the Everything that has been written adds undue weight to one particular viewpoint, in this case, in favor of FLG. Indeed, even without the changes, the Good Article independent reviewer has stated that the article appeared to be pro-FLG. Therefore, I ask that the article, in the form it was originally in , be protected fully for 2 weeks until a consensus has been reached on the talk page, and new independent editors have shown up. Unprotection I can't understand why this is protected, or why its been protected for so long. It appears to have been protected almost 4 months ago without explanation (beyond 'terrible') and I can't find a more recent protection applied to it or an explanation given as to why .
