WWE Legends of WrestleMania video game in the WWE SmackDown! professional wrestling series. The video game will be based on legends and alumni of the professional wrestling promotion , World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), who have appeared at WrestleMania . It will be released in March 2009 to coincide with WrestleMania XXV . The video game will be a new introduction to the WWE SmackDown! series. Production of the video game was announced in May 2008 by THQ , respectively for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 video game consoles . The game is being developed by YUKE's Future Media Creators and will be published by THQ, the same publisher for all WWE SmackDown! video games.
