The Iturup Strawberry, Fragaria iturupensis is a variety of strawberry occuring naturally only on Iturup Island and nowhere else in the world.

All Fragaria species have 7 types of chromosomes. Fragaria iturupensis is octoploid, having eight pairs of these chromosomes for a total of 56.
