Valenti came to national attention in September 2006, when law professor Ann Althouse commented on her blog about a photo taken after a meeting between former President Bill Clinton, Valenti and other bloggers, in which Valenti was wearing a tight-fitting top and standing at an angle in front of Clinton. Althouse intimated that it seemed that Valenti was using her breasts to get attention . This set off a slight internet blogger kerfuffle and raised Valenti's profile among bloggers.
