Current head coach Doc Rivers led the team to the NBA Championship in 2008.

This is a list of Boston Celtics head coaches. There have been 16 head coaches of the Boston Celtics, an American professional basketball team based in Boston, Massachusetts, playing in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team is owned by Wycliffe Grousbeck and coached by Doc Rivers, with Danny Ainge as the general manager. Founded in 1946, their 17 NBA Championships are the most for any NBA franchise, while the domination of NBA championship from 1959–66, with eight straight titles, is the longest consecutive championship winning streak of any North American professional sports team to date. They currently play their home games in the TD Banknorth Garden.

Their 17 NBA Championships are the most for any NBA franchise. The Celtics won their first NBA championship in the 1957 NBA Finals coached by Red Auerbach. Auerbach is the franchise's all-time leader in both regular season and playoff games coached and wins.

Alvin Julian and Auerbach have been inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as coach. Bill Russell, Tom Heinsohn, Tom Sanders, Dave Cowens, K.C. Jones, Chris Ford and M. L. Carr have played as well as coached for the Celtics. John Russell, Alvin Julian, Heinsohn, Sanders, Carr, and John Carroll spent their entire coaching career with the Celtics. As of June 2008, the coach of the Celtics, Doc Rivers, has led the team into an NBA championship.
