The Lake County Sheriff's Department is the county law enforcement agency for Lake County, Indiana. The county covers approximately 501 square miles in the northwest corner of the state. The first Sheriff was elected in 1837, when Lake County was organized.
Current Sheriff
Rogelio 'Roy' Dominguez is the 48th and current Sheriff of Lake County. On January 1, 2003, Dominguez assumed the office of Lake County Sheriff.
